Two New Orleans performers to headline Chicago Blues Festival

Two New Orleans performers are among the headliners at this year’s Chicago Blues Festival. Aaron Neville and Dr. John will appear at Chicago’s Grant Park on Sunday, June 15.

The festival’s weekend of blues begins Friday, June 13, at the Petrillo Music Shell with a centennial celebration of John Lee “Sonny Boy” Williamson featuring the Carolina Chocolate Drops. Bettye LaVette performs on Saturday, June 14.

Admission to the Chicago Blues Festival is free. Festival hours are 11 a.m.-9:30 p.m. daily. A complete line-up and schedule for all stages, as well as preview events, will be released later this spring.
