Heavyweight knockout artists Shawn "The Savage" Jordan and Gabriel "Napao" Gonzaga have verbally agreed to fight at UFC 166 on Saturday, October 19, at the Toyota Center in Houston.
Jordan, a former LSU full back, and Gonzaga are coming into this bout with first round knockout wins in each of their last bouts. Confidence is high as both fighters try to break into the Top 10 of the heavyweight division.
UFC 166 will also have one the most anticipated fights in recent UFC history. In the main event, the rubber-match has finally been set between current heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez and former heavyweight champion Junior "Cigano" Dos Santos. Each fighter has one loss on record to the other. This event will settle the score once and for all.
Jordan and Gonzaga appear to be the final touches on the main card that will include a welterweight battle between Hector Lombard and Nate Marquardt as well as a lightweight showdown between former Strikeforce lightweight champion Gilbert Melendez and the very first "Ultimate Fighter" winner, Diego Sanchez
The co-main event will also be a must-see. The No. 2 ranked heavyweight in the world, Daniel Cormier from Lafayette, will be facing off against fan favorite Roy "Big Country" Nelson.
