The second annual Louisiana International Film Festival will be held May 8-11, 2014, the festival announced.
The festival drew a cumulative audience of 4,000 in April during its inaugural four days of events and more than 60 screenings.
The festival recently began its 2014 membership drive. It plans to offer pre-release screenings and special events throughout the year in anticipation of the 2014 festival.
“We have great momentum,” executive director Chesley Heymsfield said in a statement, “to continue the launch of a new film festival that can provide access to opportunity and education in a growing market. There is an incredible indigenous spirit of filmmaking in Louisiana.”
