A TEEN’S TAKE: Mason Guillot on the ‘hype’ on ACT testing

“The ACT is not as difficult as it is described to be. People told me it was (a) complicated (test). When I took it, I was relieved to find that it wasn’t what it was hyped up to be. I was happy with my ACT math score of 35, but was a bit disappointed in my total score of 28. My advice to other students preparing for the ACT is to just relax. Even if they do not do well on the ACT, they will have the opportunity to take it again many times. I plan on retaking the ACT. With a lot of studying and practice, I aspire to score a (perfect) 36.”
