The Advocate has an opening in the Circulation department for a full-time District Manager to work 40 hours per week.
Summary of Primary Duties and Responsibilities: The District Manager oversees distribution of newspaper products to independent contractors (carriers), acts as a liaison between customers and carriers to eliminate and resolve delivery problems, and sells supplies to carriers. The District Manager is also responsible for replacing incomplete, damaged, torn or wet papers and delivering routes when necessary. Hours vary and can start as early as midnight. Clean driving record required.
Required Education, Prior Work Experience & Specialized Skills and Knowledge: Successful candidate should have at least two years of post-high school education/training in addition to at least two years of experience in the circulation field. Knowledge of circulation and previous managerial experience required. Thorough knowledge of customer service, quality service standards, alternative delivery systems, and customer satisfaction evaluation techniques is a must. Must have working knowledge of all Microsoft software, the internet, and office equipment. Excellent communication, presentation and organizational skills are a must.
