Summary of Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

The Senior Payroll Clerk is responsible for all aspects of payroll administration for Capital City Press. Duties include processing payroll, payroll deductions, garnishments, balancing all accounts, reconciling to GL, producing tax reports and W-2s, transmitting files and funds electronically, and various other payable duties.

Required Education, Prior Work Experience & Specialized Skills and Knowledge:

Successful candidate should have 3 – 5 years of payroll and accounting experience. Candidate must be a critical thinker and an active listener that is detail oriented and organized. Good customer service and communication skills are needed. Must also be proficient in 10-key and Excel.
