All eight coaches from the Southland’s football-playing schools will be at L’auberge Resort in Lake Charles and each will be accompanied by two players. Muse led the Lions in tackles as a sophomore last season. Nicholls State tight end Nick Scelfo, a St. Michael graduate, is among the other players expected to attend. In conjunction with media day, the conference’s two preseason polls — coaches and sports information directors — will be announced.
