CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Saints will keep defensive end Tom Johnson and running back Travaris Cadet on the sideline for Sunday’s game at Carolina, the team said. Safety Eric Frampton, who was signed this week to bolster special-teams coverage on kicks, and cornerback Trevin Wade will be active for New Orleans for the first time.

Johnson practiced all week, and Cadet missed work Friday for a non-injury reason.

Other inactives for the Saints are safety Rafael Bush (ankle), who’s missing his third straight game; outside linebacker/defensive end Keyunta Dawson (calf), sitting out his fourth straight game; tight end Josh Hill (hamstring), missing his second straight game; wide receiver Nick Toon and quarterback Ryan Griffin. Toon and Griffin are healthy scratches.

Carolina on Sunday ruled out wide receiver Tavarres King, receiver Marvin McNutt, cornerback Josh Norman, linebacker Dan Connor, tackle Travis Bond and defensive end Wes Horton.

The Panthers scratched running back Jonathan Stewart on Friday with a knee injury.
