The Saints (5-0) will fly up on Friday for Sunday’s game against the New England Patriots (4-1) at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Mass., coach Sean Payton said Thursday. He said the team made the decision because flying early worked well in last week’s win against Chicago, and the flight will be longer than usual. The Saints usually fly to Sunday games on Saturday, but they left for Chicago a day early last week to avoid problems with Tropical Storm Karen. New Orleans beat Chicago 26-18, the first time in four tries under Payton. Cornerback Keenan Lewis said the abrupt change in plans is causing him to miss the prep football game between Edna Karr and L.B. Landry-O. Perry Walker he was hoping to attend Friday. “Business is business, so you should definitely never make plans for Friday night,” said Lewis, a Walker alum. The Saints seem to be in for another tough road test against the Patriots, who are 20-1 at home in the month of October since 2003.
