  • Career highlights: Enjoyed his finest season in 2008 with Seattle, throwing for 1,532 yards and 11 TDs. Threw 184 consecutive passes without an interception that season.
  • Strengths: Accuracy, strong arm, ability to get the ball out quickly.
  • Must improve on: Learning the intricacies of the Saints’ offense.
  • Projection: Has been splitting second-team reps with Luke McCown during training camp but missed some practice time with a groin injury. The next two preseason games will tell a lot about who might secure the job as Brees’ backup.
