Saints Three and Out

WHAT WE LEARNED

The Saints can’t rely on their once-powerful offense to bail them out in tough times. After the Chiefs grabbed the momentum on Jamaal Charles’ 91-yard TD burst late in the third quarter, the Saints’ offense had 31 yards and one first down the rest of the way.

TRENDING NOW

Reeling from a horrible 0-3 start, things don’t get any easier for the Saints. They have to go to Green Bay on Sunday and then come back home to face San Diego before their bye. While they won’t give up, it’s going to take a maximum effort to at least be 1-4.

FINAL THOUGHTS

The Saints haven’t collapsed like they did Sunday in a long time. Leading an 0-2 team by 24-6 in the third quarter, they simply let this one slip away. That it came in front of a home crowd hungry for a win after two frustrating losses won’t make it any easier to digest.
