St. Augustine power forward Craig Victor, the top senior baseball player in the state and a five-star recruit who has scholarship offers from more than a dozen of the nation’s top powerhouses, will transfer to Findlay Prep in Henderson, Nev., according to several reports.
Findlay Prep coach Todd Simon and assistant coach Andy Johnson both confirmed the move on Twitter, welcoming Victor “to the Findlay family.”
Rivals.com ranks Victor (6-foot-8, 200 pounds) as the No. 21 overall prospect in the nation. ESPN ranks him 31st.
He has scholarship offers from LSU, Alabama, Arizona, Baylor, Kentucky, Kansas, Georgetown and UCLA, among others.
Victor was a Class 4A first-team all-state selection last year, when he averaged 14.1 points and 11.3 rebounds as St. Aug reached the quarterfinal round of the playoffs, losing to eventual champion St. Thomas More 70-68.
Findlay is one of the top prep schools in the nation, routinely producing some of the country’s top recruits (Anthony Bennett, the UNLV star and No. 1 overall pick in last week’s NBA draft, attended Findlay).
