The Wildcats finished 35 points ahead of second-place Indianola Academy (67) in the meet held over two days at Jackson Prep and Jackson Academy. Manchester Academy (61) and Centreville Academy (54) completed the top four.
Mogan Ohlinger led the way for Silliman by winning two events. Ohlinger won the 800 meters in 2 minutes, 32.09 seconds and the 1,600 (5:47.64) to go along with a third-place finish in the 3,200 meters (12:34.40).

Wildcats golf finsishes 2nd
The Silliman boys golf team posted a score of 312 to finish runner-up in the MAIS Class AA State Golf Championship on Monday in Brookhaven, Miss.
The Wildcats were led by Haley Harrington at 75, which tied for seventh individually. Following Harrington were Layn Schober, Barrett Day and Peyton Moody, all at 79. Other team members were Austin Gayle and Aaron Arnold. Harrington, a junior, was the only girl to qualify for the state tournament.
Brookhaven Academy took the team title, finishing two shots ahead of Silliman. Manchester Academy was third at 314.
“I was really proud of the team,” said Silliman coach John Varnado. “Haley had three birdies and was solid all day. Layn, Peyton and Barrett really stepped up under pressure and all hit key shots coming down the stretch. We were the underdog in this field and came really close to winning it all. This is the highest finish ever by a Silliman golf team.”
Jacob Ross, of Brookhaven Academy, was the overall individual winner, carding a 65. It is the third consecutive state title for Ross, a junior and an Ole Miss verbal commitment.
