Runnels shuts out Holy Savior

Rhaliat Animashaun scored all the goals in the game as Runnels defeated Holy Savior Menard 3-0 in a second-round girls soccer playoff match Tuesday night.

Runnels advanced to meet University High, which defeated Opelousas Catholic 3-0, in the quarterfinals.

Runnels goalie Sami Roberson had five saves, and Menard goalie Molly Gourgues had 17.

UNIVERSITY 3, OPELOUSAS CATHOLIC 0: Annabell Simpson scored two goals and Jessica Wiliamson scored one as University advanced.

University goalie Elizabeth Bankhead had one save, and Opelousas Catholic goalkeeper Kylie Miller had 11.

University improved its record to 16-2-2.

DOMINICAN 1, ST. JOSEPH’S 0: Dominican made one goal stand up and help on to beat St. Joseph’s and advance to the quarterfinals.

The soccer playoffs continue Wednesday.
