Pelicans’ Darius Miller has surgery on foot

The Pelicans said second-year small forward Darius Miller had surgery to repair a stress fracture in his left foot.

Team officials said Miller had surgery in Southern California on Friday and will return to New Orleans on Tuesday to begin his rehabilitation, which is expected to take eight to 12 weeks.

The 6-foot-8 Miller, a 2012 second-round choice out of Kentucky, played in 52 games last season with two starts. He averaged 2.3 points and 1.5 rebounds in 13.3 minutes.
