Ross Dellenger| email@example.com Aug. 02, 2014 Comments LSU defensive tackle Trey Lealaimatafao, seriously injured after punching through a window Monday, tweeted a photo of himself Tuesday morning in the hospital with the message, “Hi everyone I’m doing well.” Lealaimatafao, a 6-foot, 300-pound three-star defensive tackle signee from Texas, punched through a glass window in the LSU weight room Monday, tearing muscles to the bone, multiple sources said. Lealaimatafao punched through the window after a dispute with another football player, two independent sources said. LSU spokesman Michael Bonnette did not provide an update on Lealaimatafao on Tuesday morning. The school confirmed that Lealaimatafao was injured Monday and being treated at a hospital. From the looks of the photo, Lealaimatafao spent the night in the hospital. The photo shows Lealaimatafao’s left arm in a cast up to his bicep and down to his hand. Late last night, Lealaimatafao tweeted out this message: “Learning experience, thank God i’m alive.” Sources said that Lealaimatafao received stitches for the deep wound and that the injury will likely require surgery. The injury is not career or life threatening, the source said, but it could put Lealaimatafao’s freshman season in jeopardy. The team was hoping for him to challenge on the defensive line. Lealaimatafao was ranked as the No. 32 defensive tackle in the nation, according to 24/7 Sports’ composite rankings.
