KIMBERLY VETTER| Advocate staff writer Sept. 01, 2011 Comments Almost two months before several LSU football players were implicated in a brawl outside a Baton Rouge bar, punter Brad Wing was arrested and accused of simple battery, authorities said Thursday. Wing, 20, was issued a misdemeanor summons June 27 by East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s deputies investigating an incident that occurred the previous day at 3221 Woodland Ridge Blvd., Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Casey Rayborn Hicks said. Details about the incident were not released and have been forwarded to the office of East Baton Rouge Parish District Attorney Hillar Moore III for prosecution. Moore said his office is in the process of interviewing the victim and witnesses and that his office will make a decision on how to proceed soon. Wing, a native of Melbourne, Australia, came to LSU after spending the 2009-10 school year as an exchange student at Parkview Baptist High School.
