Advocate staff report Jan. 21, 2013 Comments University High defensive end Tim Williams, one of the top uncommitted football prospects in Louisiana, apparently has chosen Alabama. Numerous reports Monday said Williams, who had considered LSU, has settled on the Crimson Tide, whom he visited this past weekend. “It was a great process,” Williams said via his Twitter account Monday night. “I met a lot of great men and learned a lot throughout the process. Thank you to all the fans from every school. But Roll Tide!! Baby.” Williams, 6-foot-4 and 230 pounds, also considered Miami and Florida State. LSU’s early interest in Williams seemed to wane in recent weeks. He is rated as the No. 1 prospect in Louisiana by ESPN and is No. 36 on the ESPN150. Williams is No. 73 on the 24/7 Sports Top 247 (No. 3 in Louisiana), No. 89 on the Rivals 100 (also No. 3 in Louisiana) and No. 167 on the Scout 300 (No. 4 in Louisiana).
