The Tigers lack of a consistent offense came back to haunt them in the Chick-fil-A bowl. Clemson had a 100-48 edge in plays. a 32-9 edge in first downs and a 445-219 edge in total net yards.

ä The TajH Mahal:

OK. So, maybe Clemson quarterback Tajh Boyd has nothing to do wtih the great monument in India, but he did have one of those grand games that will live in the history books. Boyd completed 36 of 50 passes for 346 yards and two touchdowns. He also rushed for 22 yards and one touchdown on 29 carries. And, by the way, there is no stat for his clutch play down the stretch. Although, he did play a major role in Clemson going 8 for 18 on third down (44 percent).

ä Minter’s The Man:

LSU junior linebacker Kevin Minter finished the game with 19 tackles (12 solos and seven assists). He had more tackles in the first half (14) than Notre Dame Heisman Trophy finalist Manti Te’O had in any game this season.
