LSU to face Texas A&M at 11 a.m. Saturday

Set the alarm for an early kickoff.

LSU and Texas A&M will play at 11 a.m. Saturday at Kyle Field in College Station, Texas, the Southeastern Conference has announced.

CBS, which exercised its six-day option last week, selected the South Carolina-Florida game for Saturday’s 2:30 p.m. broadcast. ESPN also chose the Alabama-Tennessee game for its 6 p.m. broadcast.

LSU (6-1, 2-1 SEC) makes its first trip to Kyle Field since 1995. The Aggies improved to improved to 5-1 overall with a wild 59-57 victory over Louisiana Tech in Shreveport — a game that didn’t end until early Sunday morning.

The 11 a.m. start is LSU’s earliest on the road since facing Tulane at 11 a.m. on Sept. 29, 2007, inside the Superdome. A year later, LSU hosted Appalachian State at 10 a.m. in a game that was moved up because of Hurricane Gustav.
