GOOD HANDS

ä One week after having five drops in a 41-3 victory against Washington, the LSU receivers responded. The Tigers receivers only had one drop on 23 passes against Idaho. It was apparent from the start that the receivers were focused.

AIRING IT OUT

ä LSU quarterback Zach Mettenberger completed 17 of 22 passes for 222 yards, two touchdowns and one interception. It was the first time this season the Tigers have passed for more than 200 yards in a game. LSU backup quarter Stephen Rivers even threw a pass, even though it was incomplete.

THE PICK PARADE

ä Remember how people doubted LSU’s pass defense after Tyrann Mathieu was dismissed from the team before the season? The Tigers have an interception in every game this season. LSU had four interceptions, including two for touchdowns, against Idaho.
