Hornets defeat Bobcats 90-87 in South Carolina
North Charleston, S.C. — The New Orleans Hornets surged back in the fourth quarter to beat the Charlotte Bobcats 90-87 Thursday and remain undefeated in preseason play.
Brian Roberts led the team with 16 points and eight assists while Ryan Anderson and Lance Thomas finished with 14 points each in the win.
Heat 94, Clippers 80: In Beijing, LeBron James scored 20 points, and Miami beat the Los Angeles Clippers in China.
Blake Griffin led the Clippers with 19 points and eight rebounds.
The NBA champion Heat will play the Clippers again Sunday in Shanghai.
New addition Ray Allen had 15 points off the bench for Miami, hitting four 3-pointers.
Dwyane Wade played in his first preseason game after surgery on his left knee but finished with five points.
Knicks 108, Wizards 101: In Washington, Steve Novak scored 21 points, connecting on all seven of his 3-point attempts, and New York beat Washington.
The Knicks were particularly effective from beyond the arc, where they connected on 18 of 33. Novak paced five players in double figures for New York.
