Kevin Hubbs won the championship flight during the seventh annual club championship at Greystone Country Club held Labor Day weekend.
Mike Scurria won the president’s flight, while Dwayne Perron took the first flight.
Ferdie Genre won the second flight, and Casey Little took the third flight. Tim Wilkes captured the fourth flight.
The championship flight was competed over 54 holes. All other flights were 36.
BRSC TEAMS COMPETE IN LABOR DAY TOURNAMENTS: Three Baton Rouge Soccer Club teams competed in tournaments over the Labor Day weekend, with two winning championships and another reaching the final.
The BRSC U-12 girls team defeated the Eclipse Black U-12 team 3-0 to win the Gold Division in the Houston Labor Day Cup.
Team members include Kayla Bougere, Madison Corey, Katie Crochet, Baylie Fournet, Caroline Glynn, Mya Guillory, Mia Hau, Emery Haynes, Victoria Labarre, Jordan Mathis, Katie McCarthy, Brianna Melancon, Naylie Rodriguez and Raghan Walker. The team is coached by Brett Malone.
The U-16 girls defeated the Eclipse 98 Black 3-1 to win the Silver Division at the Plano (Texas) Labor Day Cup.
Team members include Elizabeth Binning, Madeline Bourgeois, Riley Chustz, Taylor Coleman, Martha Cox, Aleah Harris, Melba Holliday, Courtney Lejeune, Molly Litten, Shelby Manuel, Cameron Matherne, Natalie Presedo, Lily Rennhoff, Julia Robe, Jessica Shelby and Natalie Toups. The team is coached by Roger Charcap.
The U-15 boys Black team won its pool in U-15 gold competition and advanced to the championship in the Labor Day Invitational in Plano. Because of travel constraints, the team was not able to play in the final.
BRSC, coached by Willie Davis, tied FC Dallas (0-0) and defeated Mesquite Barcelona (2-0) and Texas Lightning (2-0) in pool play. They scored a 2-1 quarterfinal win over Lonestar Red and took a 2-1 overtime win over Ayses Gold in the semifinals.
Team members include Jowad Abraham, Joseph Buete, Jake Cavana, Etienne Chenevert, Luis Corona, Connor Gibbon, Danny Guiterrez, Michael James, Matthew Johnson, Peyton North, Evan Robbins, Alex Sheets, Paul Stouffer, Garret Tate, Eli Weathers and Cameron White.
ALLEN MAKES USBL TEAM: Henry C. Allen II, a junior at East Feliciana High, recently attended the United States Elite Boxing League national tournament in Denver and became the youngest boxer to make the international USBL team.
Allen will take part in international competition in Mexico, Japan, Bolivia, the United Kingdom and Canada.
In Denver, Allen, 16, fought against adult competition and came out victorious. He is coached by his father, Kevin.
Henry Allen II is scheduled to return to the ring 2 p.m. Sept. 21 at the Baker Municipal Auditorium.
