Zephyrs 6, Round Rock 5

ROUND ROCK, Texas — Koyie Hill drilled a two out single in the seventh inning to break up a tie game and score the go ahead runs as the Zephyrs defeated the Express 6-5 at The Dell Diamond.

Jacob Turner pitched six innings allowed four runs, three earned, in his first win of the season. The Zephyrs trailed early after Mike Olt hit a two-run homer in the second inning. Ed Lucas answered with a two-run homer for the Zephyrs in the third inning.

Down 6-4, the Express rallied in the ninth inning, scoring a run and had the tying run at third base. But the Zephyrs’ Chris Hatcher struck out Yangervis Solarte for the final out and his league-leading sixth save.
