The team of Mark Bridges and DJ Johnson finished second in the gross championship. Bryan Haymon and Joe O’Banion were the second-place net winners, followed by the teams of Jason Ambeau and Brent Broussard and Pat Matherne and Steve Ryan, who tied for third. The teams of Steve Martin and Ricky Carter and Carl Amedee and Hubby Lavigne tied for fifth. Women’s golf HARRIS WINS TITLE: In LaPlace, Celeste Harris fired a 78 to take the championship of the Greater Baton Rouge Chapter of the Executive Women’s Golf Association’s Chapter Handicap Tournament on Jan. 26 at Belle Terre Country Club. Tina Chin-Griffin had an 82 to finish second, while Suzanne Seefield took third with an 84. Youth basketball TAR HEELS WIN CHAMPIONSHIP: The Little Farms Tar Heels won the Jefferson Parish Recreation Department’s Little Farms Playground 7-year-old championship.
