LSU coach to run through ‘Car Wash’ Ross Dellenger| firstname.lastname@example.org July 21, 2014 Comments How will you use running back Leonard Fournette? Who wins the quarterback battle? What freshmen will you play? LSU coach Les Miles will hear more questions about his team Monday during a five-hour tour at ESPN studios. Miles joins six other Southeastern Conference coaches at the network’s “Car Wash” in Bristol, Connecticut, starting at 9 a.m. and ending after 2 p.m. The coach will participate in most of ESPN’s daily shows, including appearances on “SportsCenter,” “First Take” and “College Football Live.” National analysts, reporters and experts will hurl hard and softballs at LSU’s 10th-year coach. He heard some of the same last week at SEC media days in Hoover, Alabama. While the focus is likely to be Fournette, the headliner of LSU’s second-ranked signing class, the bigger question might be at quarterback. Sophomore Anthony Jennings and freshman Brandon Harris are expected to battle this fall camp for the starting gig. Miles showed his hand, somewhat, at SEC media days. Without being prompted, the coach included Harris in a list of four freshmen who “we would expect to have great impact on our season.” Miles said about Harris to a smaller group of reporters Wednesday at media days: “The talent is there. OK? It’s maturing.” Miles isn’t afraid to play freshmen. He’s done it plenty before. “Everybody recognizes that we will play freshmen,” the coach said. “We’ll train them, prepare them. And those guys that are talented, we’ll put them in position to go on that field as a true freshmen.” ESPN’s “Car Wash” caps a whirlwind of late summer media appearances for Miles.
