Tigers get 2015 QB commitment from Justin McMillan Tigers get 2015 QB commitment from Justin McMillan (Source: AP) Ross Dellenger| email@example.com Aug. 02, 2014 Comments LSU has its 2015 quarterback. Justin McMillan, a three-star pro-style quarterback out of Cedar Hill, Texas, committed to the Tigers on Wednesday, he confirmed. McMillan, a 6-foot-2, 170-pounder, is ranked as the 64th pro-style quarterback in the nation for 2015, according to 24/7 Sports’ composite rankings. McMillan worked out at LSU’s high school camp Tuesday. He was offered Wednesday and committed on the spot, he said. McMillan can make his non-binding commitment binding in February on national signing day. “The coaching staff is like a family,” McMillan said of why he chose the Tigers over offers from UNLV and Arkansas State. “LSU and its fans are crazy supportive.” As a junior last season at Cedar Hill High in Texas, McMillan threw for 2,367 yards and 29 touchdowns. He completed 60 percent of his passes and tossed 10 interceptions in leading Cedar Hill to the state championship. McMillan is the 12th member of a 2015 class that ranks No. 6 nationally, according to 24/7 Sports. He’s the first QB commitment in the class. The Tigers signed quarterback Brandon Harris in the 2014 class and received a commitment from dual-threat quarterback Feleipe Franks of Crawfordville, Florida, for 2016. LSU lost two quarterbacks this spring when junior Stephen Rivers and redshirt freshman Hayden Rettig transferred. Rivers has joined Vanderbilt. Rettig reportedly took a visit to Rutgers. LSU received a commit for the 2014 class from tight end Colin Jeter this week. Follow Ross Dellenger on Twitter @DellengerAdv. For more coverage of LSU football, follow our Tiger Tracks blog.
