The nightcap of a Saturday baseball doubleheader between LSU and Alabama has been delayed three hours because of thunderstorms.

The game is scheduled to resume at 10 p.m. It was originally scheduled to start at 7. The game was then set for a 9:20 start before lightning struck to push it back again.

The Tigers took the first game 2-0 behind a four-hit complete game from ace Aaron Nola. That game ended at 2:26 p.m.

The teams scheduled a day-night DH for Saturday after Friday night’s game was rained out. Game 3 is set for 1 p.m. Sunday.

The teams could play a doubleheader Sunday; Alabama does not have a travel curfew. The games would have to be seven innings each, according to Southeastern Conference rules.

LSU (36-13-1, 14-10-1) moved within one game of the SEC West lead after Ole Miss lost to Georgia earlier Saturday.
