Dee Dee Becnel (191) won the first flight, followed by Reba Wheeler (193). Georgia Ramirez (194) was the second flight winner, and Suzie Davis (202) was second. Debbie Staring (201) won the third flight, followed by Regina Walker (208). Emmie Denham was the closest-to-the-pin winner, Tipton had the most accurate drive and Davis had the fewest putts (27). Youth golf CALDWELL WINS LAKEWOOD EVENT: Ponchatoula High senior Blake Caldwell picked up his eighth win in the past 11 months, including his fifth on the Arrowhead Junior Golf Tour, by winning the tour’s event at Lakewood Golf Club last week. Caldwell fired a 140 to win the event, followed by Colin Troxler of Luling (144) and Jacob Bergeron of Slidell (147). In the boys 11- to 14-year-old division, Patrick Powers of Gulfport, Miss., had a 146 to defeat Baton Rouge’s Travis Arcenault (157). Camile Simon of New Orleans fired a 176 to defeat Chase Enclade of Suphur by six strokes. Alden Wallace of Shreveport won the girls 11-14 division with a 175. The tour’s next event is Sept. 28-29 at Santa Maria Golf Club in Baton Rouge.
