The winner will advance to the finals to play Detroit, which beat Pennsylvania 71-68 Wednesday night. McNeese (20-14) is coming off a 66-58 win at Elon on Saturday. South Dakota is coming off a 71-48 win over Lamar. Seniors Ashlyn and Caitlyn Baggett lead the Cowgirls, averaging 18.8 points and 15.4, respectively. Ashlyn scored her career 2,000th point and made her career 300th 3-pointer against Elon. She is six 3-pointers away from tying the Southland Conference career record. Caitlyn leads the team with 4.6 assists per game and an 86.8 free-throw percentage. Junior Cecilia Okoye leads the Cowgirls with 7.1 rebounds and a 50.4 field-goal shooting percentage. The Coyotes have three players averaging in double figures, led by guard Nicole Seekamp at 14.7 points. Tempestt Wilson is averaging 12.9 points, and Polly Harrington is averaging 11.1. Margaret McCloud leads the team with 7.0 rebounds.
