Saints quarterback Drew Brees will replaced injured Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III in the Pro Bowl, the Saints announced Wednesday.

Griffin had knee surgery to repair damaged ligaments on Wednesday, and could be out six to eight months.

Brees will be making his seventh Pro Bowl appearance, including his sixth with the Saints. He completed 422-of-670 passes (63.0%) for 5,177 yards, 43 touchdown passes and 19 interceptions. He also had a 96.3 passer rating.
