Southern would be in a first-place tie with Arkansas-Pine Bluff in the Western Division of the Southwest Athletic Conference if it would have defeated the Golden Lions last Saturday. Of course, the Jaguars (3-4, 2-3) lost that game 50-21, and now they are in a second-place tie with Prairie View (2-5, 2-3) two games behind Arkansas-Pine Bluff. In this "Final Score" podcast titled "The Jags Don't Have Me in a Purring Mood" Advocate Online Sports Editor Pierce W. Huff and Advocate sportswriter Mike McCall detail how the only option for the Jaguars is to play out the string this season.
