Saints waive Jonathan Amaya, claim Rafael Bush

The New Orleans Saints waived backup safety Jonathon Amaya on Saturday and claimed safety Rafael Bush off waivers from the Denver Broncos.

Amaya was obtained before the start of training camp in 2011 in the trade that sent Reggie Bush to the Miami Dolphins. Rafael Bush, a second-year pro, played in six games last season with the Broncos.

The Saints are expected to announce their eight-man practice squad on Sunday.
