ULL ranked in both polls
LSU gets votes
For the ninth consecutive week, the University of Louisiana at Lafeyette softball team is in the top 10 of both national polls released on Tuesday, while the LSU softball team received votes in both polls.
ULL (49-4) is No. 7 in the USA Today/NFCA Division I Top 25 Poll and No. 10 in the ESPN.com/USA Softball Collegiate Top 25 Poll.
LSU (34-22) picked up seven votes in the ESPN.com/USA Softball poll and six in the USA Today/NFCA poll.
The Cajuns are No. 12 in the latest Rating Percentage Index (RPI) after a 3-1 showing in the Sun Belt Conference tournament, where they lost to South Alabama, 3-1 in the title game.
The Ragin’ Cajuns host their first regional since 2002 this weekend, hosting Mississippi Valley State on Friday at 6 p.m.
LSU, meanwhile, travels to the Texas A&M Regional to face Texas State at 4 p.m. Friday.
