BRCC men, women travel to Delgado

The Baton Rouge Community College women’s and men’s basketball teams will play Delgado Community College on Wednesday night in New Orleans.

The women’s game will tip-off at 5 p.m., and the men’s game is scheduled for 7 p.m.

The Lady Bears are 15-7 after an 89-74 loss at Meridian Community College on Saturday. The Lady Dolphins are 2-19.

The Bears are 5-14 after a 79-69 loss at Meridian on Saturday. The Dolphins are 15-6.

Southeastern Louisiana at UTSA: In San Antonio, The Southeastern Louisiana University men’s basketball team returns to Southland Conference play at 7 p.m. Wednesday when it visits UTSA.

The game can be heard in the Hammond area on KSLU-FM, 90.9, and on the Internet at http://www.lionsports.net.

Roosevelt Johnson leads Southeastern (8-13, 2-7) in points (9.8) and rebounds (7.1). Elgin Bailey averages 8.9 points and 6.4 rebounds.

Melvin Johnson III averages 14.2 points to pace UTSA (14-9, 6-3).

Women

UTSA at SOUTHEASTERN LOUISIANA: In Hammond, after playing four of its last five games on the road, the Southeastern Louisiana women’s basketball team returns home to host UT-San Antonio at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the University Center to open the second half of Southland Conference play.

Aja Gibson averages 12.2 points and 7.0 rebounds per game and Kelli Jenkins adds 10.3 points to pace the Lady Lions (7-14, 2-6).

Kamra King leads UTSA (7-14, 3-5) with 9.0 points per game.

UALR at ULL: In Lafayette, Louisiana-Lafayette seeks to end a 13-game losing streak when the Cajuns host Arkansas-Little Rock (12-11, 7-3) at 7 p.m. Wednesday.

Krystal Motley is averaging 13. 4 points for ULL (5-18, 0-11 Sun Belt).
