Tigers back home to host Kentucky in gymnastics
The 14th-ranked LSU gymnastics team returns home to take on Kentucky at 7 p.m. Friday in the Pete Maravich Assembly Center.
The Tigers (1-6, 1-2 in the Southeastern Conference) moved up three spots in the most recent poll after compiling a 195.750 score at Georgia last weekend. Their season average is 194.900.
LSU is coming off back-to-back road meets, having compiled a 196.325 score at Arkansas on Jan. 20 before going to Georgia.
“We are really excited to get out in front of a big home crowd and compete well,” LSU coach D-D Breaux said.
“We want to go out there after two tough road meets and be better than we’ve been all season.”
LSU will rely on its trio of freshmen all-arounders: Rheagan Courville, Lloimincia Hall and Jessie Jordan. Jordan won the all-around last week at Georgia on the way to receiving SEC Co-Freshman of the Week honors. Courville leads the team with four individual titles this year, and Hall is second with three.

Friday’s meet is Kids Day as well as a Student Point Night for LSU students. LSU will be giving away keychains before the meet, and there will be a raffle as well.
