gulf of mexico recreational grouper season closURE: Shallow-water fishery closure includes gag, black, red, yellowfin, yellowmouth groupers, scamp, rock hind and red hind species during two-month spawning season in Gulf of Mexico waters through March 31. The gag grouper season has been closed since Nov. 16. The 2012 recreational gag grouper season is proposed for July 1-Oct. 31.
