Baton Rouge residents enjoyed two Mardi Gras parades in downtown Baton Rouge. Krewe of Mystique has been rolling for the last 35 years, making it Baton Rouge’s oldest Mardi Gras krewe. Krewe of Orion rolled afterward with their 2012 theme, “Celebrating 200 Years of Louisiana.”
Saturday marked the opening of the 2012 U.S. Bowling Congress Open Championships. The event began its 151-day run Saturday in the Baton Rouge River Center.
Southern’s men and women took on Arkansas-Pine Bluff Saturday night at home. The men lost 64-58, but the women won 62-48.
