Duck-hunting juvenile shot in head Duck-hunting juvenile shot in head Advocate staff report Dec. 11, 2012 Comments A 15-year-old boy was shot in the head and wounded early Saturday in a duck-hunting accident in Livonia, the Pointe Coupee Sheriff’s Office said. The boy, whose name was not released, suffered a serious head injury after he was shot with a 12-gauge shotgun, Capt. Steve Juge said. The teenager was one of three boys in a boat in Grosse Tete Bayou, Juge said. One of the other hunters, also 15, swung to shoot at a duck but shot the victim instead, Juge said. The wounded boy was taken to Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge, Juge said.
