Aide says Jindal camp does not own 2016 website Aide says Jindal camp does not own 2016 website Capitol news bureau Dec. 10, 2012 Comments Gov. Bobby Jindal’s top political aide said Friday that the governor’s campaign doesn’t own a website that suggests the governor is running for president in 2016. “We don’t own it,” Timmy Teepell said. “It came as a surprise to me.” Teepell ran Jindal’s 2007 campaign, served as his chief of staff and now is with the suburban Washington, D.C., political strategy firm OnMessage Inc. A number of bloggers speculated Friday about the website — “Jindal2016.com” — and how it might indicate Jindal’s active interest in pursuing the presidency. The website links viewers to the campaign website Jindal used when running for governor, which is still active with tweets and news releases. The website domain name is registered to Vineet Kewal Ramani, of Frederick, Md., according to Network Solutions.
