Ponchatoula man sought in home invasion, battery

The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office is looking for a 30-year-old Ponchatoula man who forced his way into a Tickfaw residence Wednesday night, attacked two people inside with pepper spray and then searched the home for someone before leaving.

Alvin James Davis, 30, is already wanted on multiple outstanding arrest warrants and is now wanted on additional counts in the Wednesday incident, the Sheriff’s Office reported.

Davis is accused of kicking in the front door of the residence, immediately pepper spraying the first two occupants he came in contact with and then tearing through the residence looking for a person whom he threatened to kill, the Sheriff’s Office said.

Arrest warrants have been issued for violation of a protective order, home invasion, two counts of second-degree battery and felony criminal damage.

Anyone who knows of Davis’ whereabouts is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at (800) 554-5245.
