Authorities book eight on suspicion of DWI

Authorities arrested at least eight people suspected of driving while intoxicated in East Baton Rouge Parish and booked them into Parish Prison between 2:30 p.m. Saturday and 2:30 p.m. Sunday, booking records show.

Those booked and the counts against them:

  • John Bryant, 55, 26846 Claudette St., Canyon County, California, first-offense DWI and failure to maintain control.
  • Erin Cofiell, 30, 151 Richland Ave., Baton Rouge, first-offense DWI, improper turn and reckless operation of a vehicle.
  • Corey Dabadie, 22, 13302 Dot Lee Drive, Denham Springs, first-offense DWI, failure to maintain control and disobeying a red light.
  • Jeffery Follins, 27, 5949 Atlanta Avenue, Baton Rouge, first-offense DWI, seat belt violation and disobeying a red light.
  • Edward Guillory, 29, 12535 Excalibur Ave., Baton Rouge, first-offense DWI, improper lane usage, possession of alcohol in vehicle and TV screen in view of driver.
  • Jason Switzer, 23, 30116 Barnett Road, Denham Springs, first-offense DWI, failure to change address of driver’s license, failure to maintain control of vehicle and reckless operation of vehicle.
  • Timothy Thompson, 48, 804 S. 12th St., Baton Rouge, first-offense DWI and failure to maintain control.
  • Dieudonne Vumgbo, 26, 9878 Chateau Drive, Baton Rouge, first-offense DWI, headlights required and reckless operation of a vehicle.
