St. Mary sheriff books three in heroin case St. Mary sheriff books three in heroin case Advocate staff report June 18, 2014 Comments St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office detectives arrested three people on drug counts Thursday after a search of their Patterson home, officials said. Benjamin Joseph Henry, 38, Ashley Marie Dowdy, 28, and Jonathan Henry, 32, were booked after narcotics detectives allegedly found heroin worth $5,000, firearms, body armor, drug paraphernalia and other illegal substances, sheriff’s spokesman Jimmy Broussard said in a news release. Broussard said Benjamin Henry was jailed on counts of possession of heroin with intent to distribute, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of guns in presence of controlled dangerous substances, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, unlawful possession of body armor and transactions involving drug proceeds. Dowdy was jailed on the possession of heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia counts, and Jonathan Henry was charged with possession of a Schedule III drug, Broussard said. Detectives also found $844 in cash, which was seized. No bond had been set as of Friday morning.
