St. Mary deputies: Couple operate meth lab in home

A Bayou Vista couple was arrested Wednesday night after investigators found an active lab and ingredients to make methamphetamines in their neighborhood home, officials said.

Damian Brown, 31, and Jolene E. Frye, 30, of 145 Mercury St., were booked into the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center in Centerville. No bond had been set, according to a release by the Sheriff’s Office Thursday morning.

Brown and Frye were booked on counts of operating a clandestine laboratory and possession of drug paraphernalia. Frye was booked on an additional count of possession of a legend drug and on a warrants alleging criminal damage to property and criminal trespass, spokeswoman Traci Landry said in the release.
