Lafayette teen accused of shooting at three people

A Lafayette teenager has been arrested on multiple counts of attempted murder in a shooting that left one person in stable condition at a local hospital.

Jacoby Andrus, 17, was booked into the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center in the 6:15 a.m. Thursday incident, where Lafayette police believe he shot at three people in the 100 block of Odile Street, Cpl. Paul Mouton said.

Witnesses said Andrus was in a vehicle, got out and fired three shots at three people, Mouton said in a release.

One person was hit in the leg, according to the release.

Andrus’ vehicle was located in the 200 block of Crestview Circle, less than a mile away. Mouton said the investigation remains open.
