Three accused in Plaquemine slaying, robbery

Plaquemine police arrested two people and are looking for a third in the slaying of a man in his home during a robbery early Saturday morning, police said.

Police on Saturday arrested Jacqueline Deloach, 42, and Alex Monterreo “Tank” Granville, 35, both of Plaquemine, and are still looking for the suspected triggerman in the robbery, Willie Thomas, 43, of Baton Rouge, said Capt. Kenny Payne, a Plaquemine police spokesman.

The trio is accused in the killing of Hashim Henderson, 34, 57810 Government St., Plaquemine, Payne said.

“It appears that it was a planned robbery that resulted in a homicide,” Payne said.

A friend found Henderson inside his home early Saturday morning. Police and paramedics were called and found Henderson dead from a gunshot wound to the chest, Payne said.

Police arrested Deloach Saturday afternoon and Granville later that night, Payne said, but they are still looking for Thomas, of 2004 Hiawatha St., off Plank Road in north Baton Rouge.

Police booked Granville and Deloach into the Iberville Parish Jail on counts of first-degree murder and armed robbery, Payne said.

If arrested, Thomas will be booked on the same counts, he said.

Anyone with information about Thomas’ whereabouts may call the Plaquemine Police Department at (225) 687-9723.
