Jeremy Picard, 24, of New Iberia, was booked on one count of driving his Ford F-150 pickup while under suspension, Lt. Jeremy Kelly said in a release. The victim, Larry Alleman, 51, also of New Iberia, was pronounced dead at the scene. Sheriff’s officials Wednesday evening withheld Alleman’s identity, pending notification of his family. Kelly released Alleman’s name Thursday. Kelly said toxicology test results on Picard were pending.
