Two booked in Gonzales on drug charges

A joint drug investigation in Gonzales led to the arrest of two people and seizure of illegal and prescription drugs, Ascension Parish sheriff’s deputies said Wednesday.

Narcotics detectives with Gonzales Police and Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office searched a home at 2014 E. Asphodel St. on Monday, after authorities received complaints that illegal drugs were being sold inside, Sheriff’s Chief Deputy Tony Bacala said in a news release.

Detectives found cyclobenzoprine hydrochloride, Adderall, heroin, cocaine, marijuana, testosterone, stanozolol, boldenone acetate, drug paraphernalia and numerous firearms in the home, Bacala said.

Timothy Sheehan, 48, and Melanie Diebold, 30, both of 2014 E. Asphodel St., were arrested on single counts of illegal possession of prescription drugs, possession of heroin, possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana, two counts of possession of Adderall, three counts of possession of steroids and single counts of possession of drug paraphernalia and illegal carrying of weapons.

Sheehan and Diebold both had bail set at $40,344 and remained in Ascension Parish Detention Center near Donaldsonville on Wednesday, deputies said.
