Scott police: Man arrested after ‘huffing’ in mausoleum Scott police: Man arrested after ‘huffing’ in mausoleum MARTIN, THORNE HARLEY | Advocate staff report April 27, 2014 Comments SCOTT — Scott police Saturday discovered a man unconscious in an Old Spanish Trail mausoleum, reportedly from inhaling the contents of an aerosol can in a practice called “huffing,” officials said. Thorne Martin, 26, was found passed out with the bottle of canned air in his hand, Scott Police Chief Chad Leger said in a release. “Mr. Martin had previously been arrested after passing out while huffing canned air,” Leger said. Martin was booked into the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center on one count each of disturbing the peace by public intoxication and abuse of toxic vapors, and on a warrant for failure to appear for a possession of schedule 1 narcotics charge.
