Crowley man booked in burglary Crowley man booked in burglary Tyrin Brown | Advocate staff report March 27, 2014 Comments CROWLEY — Crowley police officers arrested a man this week as he wrestled with a homeowner trying to stop a vehicle burglary, Crowley Police Chief K.P. Gibson said. The suspect, Tyrin Brown, 22, of Crowley, also allegedly threw a handgun to the ground as officers were arresting him, Gibson said in an emailed release. “Officers recovered the firearm and through their investigation, they discovered that the weapon had been stolen on Saturday … from a vehicle in a shopping center in Crowley,” “Gibson said. Gibson said the investigation also showed Brown was the person who stole the handgun. Brown was booked into the Acadia Parish Jail on one count each of burglary, aggravated burglary, resisting arrest and possession of stolen property. “The officers did a good job of putting the pieces of the puzzle together to solve two burglaries,” Gibson said.
